Ms. Dorica Lungu-Sakala

MANDATE: The Board Secretary maintains accurate board records, including minutes, agendas and other vital documents. She facilitates internal communication, oversees GWZ’s website and membership database and ensures governance compliance, such as registration renewals. Additionally, she collaborates on digital presence and serves as registrar for membership welfare.

GWZ ENDORSEMENT: Ms. Dorica is well organised and detail-oriented. She consistently upholds GWZ’s administrative integrity and is handy with IT solutions.

BIOGRAPHY: Ms. Dorica Lungu-Sakala is an accomplished ICT and Data Management specialist with over 13 years of experience in both the NGO and government sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computing and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Information Technology.

Ms. Dorica is a member of the ICT Association of Zambia and actively participates in Graduate Women Zambia. Throughout her career, she has successfully supported transformative projects across various domains, including health, governance and social protection. Currently, she contributes her expertise to the Girls’ Education and Women’s Empowerment and Livelihoods (GEWEL) project, where she plays a key role in enhancing project outcomes through effective technological solutions.

Ms. Dorica is a passionate advocate for gender equity and works tirelessly to ensure that women and girls have access to information and communication technologies (ICTs). She
strives to create opportunities that empower them to unlock their full potential and contribute meaningfully to societal progress. Her extensive experience in IT and her dedication to gender empowerment make her exceptionally suited for managing digital spaces and providing technical support.
