MANDATE: The CIR cultivates and maintains strategic relationships with international organizations aligned with GWZ’s mission. She collaborates with partners to develop joint programs and secures funding opportunities. Additionally, she manages correspondence with international stakeholders, ensuring the board stays informed on critical global trends and emerging issues.

BIOGRAPHY: Dr. Charity Meki-Kombe is an accomplished academic and researcher with a PhD in Educational Management, Law and Policy from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Currently, she serves as a Senior Lecturer and Director of Postgraduate Studies at Mulungushi University, Zambia.
With a rich professional background, she previously worked at the Examinations Council of Zambia as a Senior Research Officer and Coordinator of the Grade 2 National Assessment Survey, and as a Community Education Officer under the Zambia Anti-Corruption Commission.
As a distinguished scholar, Dr. Charity has held prestigious roles, including:
A two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pretoria;
Research Associate at the University of Leeds (UK);
Alumni of the SUSI Scholar Program (USA),
Tuks Young Research Leader Fellow;
Salzburg Global Fellow; and
DIES TrainIQA Alumnus (2022-2024).

Additionally, she has presented her work at international conferences across the UK, USA, South Africa, Russia, Rwanda, Germany, Italy and beyond.
